Sangria Spritzer
An all year drink.
Fall in Florida is typically still in the 80s, and this drink can be made with fall flavors but still give the quenching effects of a summertime cocktail.
I don’t drink alcohol enough to wish I liked red wine, but every now and then (usually if I find a cheap organic wine or a BOGO free bottle) I buy one.
One of my favorite drink recipes is sangria but I usually don’t have the traditional supplies for that. Instead I’ve been making a something between a sangria and a wine spritzer. This is a fruity but not-too-sweet recipe that lets you use what is on hand.
Ingredients:
Half a bottle of red wine (we usually buy organic or BOGO free…depends on the day)
One can of lime Spindrift (or try a fall flavor- cranberry, orange, apple)
1-2 Tbsp of tart cherry juice concentrate
Diced Granny Smith apples
Diced strawberries (or pomegranate)
Diced oranges
Mix together and drink! You can let it sit so the fruits absorb the drink
Makes 2 servings

Though I do not drink, I could use some of that sunshine.
